Tell me a bit about yourself and what you do.
My name is Jada “Anandapuri Mata Giri Yogini”, and I’m a wellness entrepreneur, a seeker and social media manager. My work focuses on holistic wellness, spiritual growth, and building conscious community. As a side hustle, I manage social media accounts for an Atlanta based company, while also launching my own lifestyle brand that emphasizes ethically sourced wellness products from India.
In addition, I lead workshops on yogic practices, women’s wellness, tantric embodiment, and ecstatic dance. My journey is deeply rooted in a desire to live freely and in alignment with my highest self. Blending travel, conscious community, and spirituality adds extra joy to my life.
How has travel impacted your life and how has it changed your family and career life?
Travel has completely transformed the way I see the world and myself. It has deepened my spiritual practice, broadened my perspective on life, and connected me with incredible people and cultures. Moving to India has redefined what living means for me—my life is now centered around growth, adventure, and building something meaningful for the community. It’s shown me the value of adaptability and how important it is to create a home wherever we are, rather than being tied to one location.
Career-wise, travel has been a catalyst for transformation. I once felt stuck in a job, but now I have a part-time position that allows me to work 100% remotely. This flexibility has given me the space to pursue my passions for wellness, entrepreneurship, and spirituality. Travel fuels my creativity and provides endless opportunities for learning, collaboration, and personal expansion.
Travel has positively impacted my family life, as I cherish the time spent with my loved ones even more. My journeys have inspired many of my family members, and they can see and appreciate my authenticity more now. Additionally, moving to India to be with my husband has strengthened our bond as we navigate a life rooted in adventure, growth, and shared purpose.
What has been your most favorite travel experience and why?
My favorite recent travel experience was attending Maha Kumbh Mela in February 2025, the world’s largest spiritual gathering. The energy there was indescribable—millions of seekers, saints, and yogis coming together in devotion, creating a powerful spiritual current that you can feel in the air. The rich history and sacredness of the event completely captivated me, but what made it truly special was the opportunity to connect directly with sadhus, nagababas, and seekers from all over the world.
Witnessing their deep dedication, engaging in conversations about spiritual wisdom, and participating in ancient rituals was an experience unlike any other. It was a reminder of the timeless nature of spiritual practice and the unbreakable connection between all who walk this path.
Do you have any tips or advice for people who want to travel more?
Prioritize experiences over things. If traveling is a goal, start by reducing your expenses and redirecting money toward a travel savings. Also, embrace slow travel—it allows you to truly immerse yourself in a culture rather than just passing through. And don’t wait for the “perfect” time—there will always be reasons to postpone, but the biggest growth comes when you take the leap of faith.
Why did you choose to relocate to India from the US?
India has always called to me spiritually and creatively. The depth of wisdom here—whether in Yoga, Ayurveda, or Tantra—is unparalleled, and I wanted to immerse myself in it. Moving here also allows me to be with my husband. We have built a life that aligns with our shared values of spirituality, wellness, and entrepreneurship. India provides a rich landscape for both personal and professional growth, and I love that every day here feels like an unfolding of new possibilities.
What are the must-have items in your packing list?
• A lightweight, breathable cotton wardrobe (essential for Indian weather)
• Eagle Creek 110L duffle bag. It collapses if you don’t need the extra room, but if you are coming to India – you will need that extra space when you are coming home from the markets.
• Rudrashka Jaap mala for mantra practice
• Natural incense for creating a peaceful space
• A reusable copper water bottle for health benefits
• A journal for reflections and ideas
• Comfortable walking shoes—exploring on foot is the best way to take in new places
Why do you think it’s important for women to travel?
Traveling is one of the most liberating experiences a woman can have. It builds confidence, expands horizons, and deepens self-trust. It teaches you how to navigate different & difficult situations, connect with people beyond language and culture, and break free from societal limitations. When women travel, they reclaim their sovereignty and step into their power—something that can transform not just their own lives, but the world around them.
