It’s officially March 8, 2025!

You should know what that means, especially if you follow this blog.

It’s a day that I always celebrate!

It’s international women’s day, and it’s time for me to reflect on how I decided to celebrate it in 2024.

I also want to highlight some of my favorite moments with my friends from 2024, in the USA and abroad.

I celebrate them today and all of the amazing women around the world.

In 2023, I discovered that there was the National Women of the Arts Museum and it reopened in 2024.

National Women in the Arts

That is where I celebrated in 2024.

I also had a wonderful time with my friends celebrating with a tea party!

The tea party gathering was a success at the tea cellar for Blue Duck Tavern, and we made flower bouquets with bookmarks with words of affirmation inside of them.

These last few photos are from my going away party before leaving DC.

Throw Social DC

Some of these ladies are USAID and NGO workers, some are international students and travelers, some are business women and teachers, and ministers, missionaries, and civil and human rights advocates. These ladies represent the best parts of who I am.

All of these ladies came to celebrate with me and signed this beautiful card. We played tea bingo and danced together all night long.

In SE Asia, I have made beautiful connections that Im grateful for.

I cherish my international friends, these women are so special to me. I’m glad to know and celebrate them all for International Women’s Day !

This is what community looks like.

This is what sisterhood looks like.

Lastly, there will be new interviews today with women from all over Asia.

Some of these women are expats who have moved abroad solo, and some of them who have moved overseas to be able to raise their children, and to be able to create their own community.

I have been inspired by their amazing stories. I hope you will too!

Until the next adventure,
