Greetings everyone! Meet Nicole !

Tell me a little bit about yourself.
I’m Nicole, a proud New Yorker with deep Jamaican roots, an empowerment coach, speaker, and soulful traveler dedicated to helping women break free from limitations and create a life of ease, joy, and abundance whether that’s abroad or right where they are.
My journey started over a decade ago when I left NYC to teach internationally. Initially, it was a financial decision, to get out of debt, but it quickly became a path to freedom and expansion. Living abroad gave me space to redefine success, embrace my cultural identity in new ways, and step fully into who I was meant to be.
Now, I blend my background in leadership, personal development, and spirituality to guide women toward liberation in every sense of the word-mentally, emotionally, and physically. Through my coaching, retreats, and digital products, I help women expand their mindset, trust their intuition, and step into their most powerful, aligned selves.
You can often find me curating soul-nourishing experiences like Brunch With Purpose, speaking on personal growth and mindset, or sharing my own journey as a traveler and expat. My message? You are the creator of your own life, and the world is so much bigger than the limitations you’ve been given.

How has travel impacted your life and how has it changed you and your family life?
Travel has completely reshaped my perspective on life. It’s expanded my understanding of different cultures, challenged my thinking about what’s possible, and deepened my appreciation for my heritage. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that, at our core, we all crave connection, whether it’s through food, music, or shared experiences. Even when language is a barrier, the human experience is universal, and that has been such a powerful realization.

What has been your most favorite travel experience and why?
There are way too many to count! However, one of my favorites was traveling to Cuba with my siblings. Experiencing a new country with people I love made the trip even more special. Cuba felt like entering another era; its rich history, vibrant culture, and resilience were magnetic. I got to experience both sides of the country: the beauty, the energy, and the realities of life there. This trip deepened my appreciation for history, culture, and the importance of connecting my travel life with my family.

Do you have any tips or advice for people who want to travel more?
Just do it. Seriously, stop overthinking and start where you are. If international travel feels overwhelming, begin with local adventures and work your way outward. Watch shows that spark curiosity. Anthony Bourdain heavily influenced me, and his approach to connecting with locals transformed the way I travel. Social media is also a powerful tool; follow people who inspire the kind of travel you want to experience. Seeing someone who looks like you or shares your values exploring the world can push you to take that first step.

Why did you choose to relocate to Southeast Asia?
Honestly? Southeast Asia chose me. I had just finished a sabbatical, and it made the most sense logistically. I was seeing someone who was working on their TEFL certification at the time, so it aligned for both of us. But beyond that, this region has given me a sense of freedom, ease, and expansion that I deeply appreciate. The quality of life, affordability, and cultural richness have made it feel like home in ways I never expected.
What are the must have items in your packing list?
I’m all about packing items that bring comfort and a sense of home no matter where I go. My must-haves:
• A mini speaker (because music sets the vibe wherever I land)
• A journal (for reflections and manifesting)
• Essential oils (for relaxation and grounding)
• A portable charger (non-negotiable!)
• Statement earrings (because why not travel in style?)
• My favorite hair color from the States (because certain shades are hard to find abroad!)
• Moisturizer + sunscreen (I swear by Trader Joe’s sunscreen)
Why do you think it’s important for women to travel?
Because we belong everywhere. There are so many women around the world who crave connection, and travel allows us to build those bridges. Women shift the planet’s energy just by existing, so it’s powerful when we take up space in new environments. Travel is also deeply liberating, it allows us to see life beyond the boxes we were placed in and redefine what’s possible for ourselves. Every trip I take reminds me that life is meant to be lived expansively, and I want more women to experience that.
